BIM & Digital Engineering

True collaboration and verification of high quality data.

What is Digital Engineering?

Interoperability and Reverse Engineering (1).mp4

Elite Digital Engineering (EDE), part of the Elite Group and sister company to Elite Survey, was established to reduce design risk and save cost across construction projects. We combine deep technical expertise with advanced technology to make sure every design is practical, coordinated and ready for real-world delivery. By integrating every design discipline, we eliminate clashes, reduce uncertainty and deliver buildable solutions that save time and money.

Our Capabilities:

BIM Execution Plans (BEXP)

tailored processes that verify outputs, enhance quality and streamline workflows.

Model Compatibility

open, modify and extract any 2D/3D model on the market, including reverse-engineering proprietary formats, so every stakeholder works from the same reliable data.

Laser Scanning & Digital Twins

high-accuracy point clouds built to the TfNSW Digital Engineering Framework, ISO 19650 and NATSPEC BIM standards.

Data-Driven 3D Models

mesh extraction, clash detection, heatmaps, contours and design-vs-survey analysis to uncover issues early.

Collaboration & Compliance

Common Data Environments (CDEs), BIM coordination and federated models for traceability, accountability and fast resolutions.

Proactive Issue Resolution —

errors are solved, not just flagged, before they reach the construction site.

The Elite Group Advantage: tangible savings in cost and time, high-value digital assets, efficiency across multiple projects, digital workflows for smarter collaboration, reduced design clashes and oversights, clearer spatial understanding of your project, Digital Twin compliance for future-proof asset management, seamless progress from concept through to Work As Executed (WAE) deliverables, and TAO accredited reassurance.

Proven on Sydney's most complex construction sites

SOH Foyer.mp4

Sydney Opera House — Lift 36

Client: Peterson Building Group (PBG), Sydney Opera House Renewal Program

Method: 3D point-cloud laser scanning + as-built BIM model

Scope: new bronze, brass and glass lift installation

Most shop drawings existed only in 2D with inconsistent data. Elite used 3D point-cloud scans to validate and reconcile 2D shop drawings from multiple subcontractors into one accurate, coordinated 3D model, delivered on time and within budget.

3D Point cloud tunnel.png

WestConnex New M5 Tunnel

Client: WestConnex — New M5

Method: Full-tunnel 3D laser scan, run on night shifts

Data density: 3mm across the 16km tunnel

16km-long tunnel project with multiple trades working simultaneously in a tight environment. Elite ran night shifts and scanned the entire tunnel to capture and report on pavement, cable trays, jet fans and signage as-builts at 3mm data density the fastest, most accurate method over that distance.
