HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEY
REMOTE-CONTROLLEd UAV SURVEYS, SYDNEY & AUSTRALIA-WIDE.
Elite Survey's Otter MK3 Pro is an unmanned hydrographic survey vessel fitted with a Norbit iWBMS multibeam sonar safer than putting a crew on the water, and able to work in dams, marinas and confined waterways bigger boats can't reach. Fully electric with up to 20 hours' endurance, it runs pre-planned survey lines autonomously and carries an automated sound-velocity winch, delivering IHO S-44 standard bathymetry with 100% seabed coverage. At 65 kg it breaks down into components under 20 kg, so one operator can deploy it almost anywhere. Elite Survey has completed over 200 hydrographic surveys in the last 5 years, backed by TQCSI ISO 9001:2015 certification and membership of Consulting Surveyors NSW.

Hydrographic survey proven on Sydney's harbor's marinas & toughest marine sites
Cruising Yacht Club of Australia
Client: Cruising Yacht Club of Australia
Method: Z-Boat sounder survey
Accuracy: +/-50mm, data captured every 0.3 seconds
CYCA needed seabed depth data to make sure visiting and docking boats didn't scrape their keel or beach within the moorings. Elite's Z-Boat captured sounder data every 0.3 seconds at +/-50mm accuracy, tracing sandbars and producing a current contoured plan that formed part of CYCA's comparative seabed monitoring study.
Woolwich Wharf Pontoon
Client: Woolwich Wharf Pontoon
Method: Z-Boat & echosounder survey
Accuracy: +/-50mm, data captured every 0.3 seconds
Client needed seabed data 30m from shore in deep, undulating water - not achievable by conventional survey methods without constant design variation. Elite's Z-Boat and echosounder captured data every 0.3 seconds at +/-50mm accuracy, giving full, accurate seabed coverage.
HMAS Waterhen Boat Ramp Upgrade
Client: HMAS Waterhen
Method: Z-Boat hydrographic survey (pre & post excavation)
Accuracy: piles positioned within 20mm of design below waterline
Underwater construction for the HMAS Waterhen boat ramp upgrade required precise positioning below the waterline. Elite carried out an initial hydrographic Z-Boat survey, a post-excavation Z-Boat survey, and a final as-built hydrographic survey for QA, helping ensure piles were positioned within 20mm of design.
